Eat Healthy Mural
This mural was part of HIP’s Eradicating Food Insecurity (EFI) initiative. In addition to the art direction, concept design and installation of several of components, I also art directed, choosing detailed and realistic forms which is a juxtaposition from simpler reductive imagery of some of my other work. I often gravitate to geometric graphic forms, so this project was a great reminder that my artistic style is versatile, and I will seamlessly tailor your project to whatever form is needed to support originality of concept.
Three talented volunteer students assisted with the installation (Tatiana: lemon, bananas, plantain; Bhakti: pickle, pea pod, eggplant, strawberry, peach, avocados, blueberries, grapes, milk glass, papayas, raspberry, pepper, lime, forks, knives, spoons. Yohenny: apples, tomato), with the remaining (chicken, orange slices, garlic, kiwi, carrot, egg, watermelon, pineapple, pomegranate, potato, broccoli, corn, onion, sunflowers, sun plate and rays) completed by me.
