FUTURITY MURAL
I was inspired to create a modern aesthetic to symbolize the mission of the 2nd floor computer 'steam' lab, at the Hazleton One Community Center. The mural concept was designed with emphasis on geometric forms inspired by historical design eras such as futurism, cubism, and art deco— I also prefer to implement this style when possible due to my extensive graphic design background. The color palette was inspired by the educational furniture in the lab (MUZO-WORKS). Vitruvian Man"was installed by Yohenney, a student artist of HIP's student volunteer group; and two additional high school volunteer students helped install the double coat of paint and final touch-ups as well.
